les enfants pleurent

This is a series of images titled 'End Times' taken by American Photographer,Jill Greenberg.
To create End Times, Greenberg gave lollipops to toddlers but took them back after several moments, provoking emotional outbursts. Greenberg used the images as a representation of American Politics and Society. Greenberg was accused of child abuse for the photo shoots.
I think the photos are honest and beautiful. There's a slight hint of Diane Arbus in them.

Greenberg also shot a series of promotional images for recording artist, Gwen Stefani's album 'The Sweet Escape" which is obviously inspired by her previous 'End Times' exhibition.

  1. I can see why he was accused of that.. there was no need to make the children topless!!

  2. she! surabhi..lol
and i honestly don't see any reason for people to think of this as child abuse. I mean, children go through so much more in life, so being teased with lollipops semi nude and being photographed by a great photographer for a much greater cause, for the cause of art rather, dosnt seem as bad.
    That's just my opinion. :)

    (we all saw slumdog)
but! it would have been completely fine if this was with adults..just making kids do anything for popularity/money without their consent seems wrong! wrong on their parents behalf!
FYI i think Anne Gredes is the biggest Nazi!
